Profiled timber expands due to changes in temperature and humidity. When exposed to moisture, timber absorbs water and swells, causing it to expand. Similarly, when the temperature increases, the timber expands as the molecules become more active. This expansion can lead to warping, bending, or cracking of the timber if not properly accounted for in the design and installation process. **

A profiled timber board is a type of wooden board that has been specially machined to have a specific shape or design on its surface. Yes, profiled wood can be used on chipboard without a substructure. However, it is important to ensure that the chipboard is strong enough to support the weight and pressure of the profiled wood. Additionally, proper installation techniques and fasteners should be used to securely attach the profiled wood to the chipboard. It is also recommended to consult with a professional or follow manufacturer's guidelines to ensure the proper installation and compatibility of the materials. **

One should remove the profiled timber from the ceiling if mold is present because mold can spread quickly and easily on porous surfaces like wood. Leaving the timber in place can allow the mold to continue growing and potentially spread to other areas of the ceiling or even the rest of the room. Removing the affected timber is essential to stop the mold growth, prevent further damage, and ensure the health and safety of the occupants by eliminating potential respiratory issues associated with mold exposure. **

Profiled wood should be removed from the ceiling if mold is present because the mold can penetrate deep into the wood, making it difficult to completely remove the mold without damaging the wood. Additionally, mold on wood can weaken its structural integrity over time, posing a safety hazard. Removing the profiled wood allows for a thorough inspection of the extent of the mold damage and ensures that the mold is properly remediated to prevent future growth. **
